The US Federal Government Still at Risk
According to recent headlines, even US Federal Government is vulnerable to cyber attacks.

The number of cyber intrusions is growing dramatically. According to a Government Accounting Office analysis, the number of security incidents reported by federal agencies increased more than 400 percent between 2006 and 2009. There were 278,000 indications of malicious activity per month targeting the civilian government cyber networks, DHS Assistant Secretary Gregory Schaffer told the committee.

State & Local Governments Are At Risk Too
The City of Springfield, IL Causes Own Security Breach:

The city of Springfield put documents online that contained such sensitive information as people’s Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, home and work telephone numbers -- even a bank account number... The documents were posted on the city’s website in response to Freedom of Information Act requests as part of an initiative to make public information available to anyone with a computer. But personal information, such as home phone numbers, Social Security numbers and driver’s license numbers, are exempt from disclosure under state law...“Oops! We goofed!” city officials said in a Thursday afternoon posting on the city’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
