Parameter Announces 2012 St. Louis Training Schedule

Adds Three Additional CompTIA Classes to Roster

(December 19, 2011) St. Louis, MO – Parameter is excited to publish its 2012 St. Louis training schedule for its Hacker University and Parameter University training centers.

With the 2012 schedule, Parameter University is introducing three new five-day CompTIA bootcamps: A+, Network+, and Linux+.

  • CompTIA A+ measures fundamental competencies of IT and tests for technical understanding of computer technology, networking and security, as well as the communication skills and professionalism.
  • The CompTIA Network+ certification focuses on the networking side of IT. The exam covers network technologies, installation and configuration, media and topologies, management and security.
  • Linux+ is comprised of two exams. One covers system architecture; Linux Installation and package management; GNU and Unix commands; devices, Linux filesystems, and filesystem hierarchy standard. The second covers shells, scripting and data management; user interfaces and desktops; administrative tasks; essential system services; networking fundamentals; and security.

In addition to the new CompTIA courses, Hacker University will still offer the CompTIA Security+ five-day certification bootcamp to be held three times during the year.

  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) - March 5-9
  • CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)- April 23-27
  • CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) - January 9-13, May 14-18, October 15-19
  • CHFI (Certified Hacking Forensic Investigator) - March 19-23, October 8-12
  • SAT (Security Awareness Training) - January through December
