EC-Council Holds First TakeDownCon; Asks Parameter Security to Present & Teach CEH v7 at Conference (May 19, 2011) Dallas, Texas - Parameter Security was among the chosen few to play an integral role in the very first EC-Council TakeDownCon in Dallas. TheĀ TakeDown Conference is a 2 day conference designed for technical information security and IT professionals of all levels. This highly technical conference has a comprehensive program that features intriguing revelations of the latest exploits and vulnerabilities and cutting edge presentations on the development of the various facets of the cyber threat landscape. Parameter Security was among the elite few to be selected as the go-to security professionals for this exclusive conference. Parameter's Dave Chronister presented an hour long talk called "Trojans: The Forgotten Enemy" regarding the real danger Trojans pose and why they are highly underestimated when it comes to security threats. Chronister's presentation was very eye-opening to attendees and well-received as reflected by the wall-to-wall attendance during his speaking engagement. Chronister also taught the newly released Certified Ethical Hacker version 7 (C|EH) to fifteen students days prior to the event as part of the technical training offered before the conference in Dallas. His diverse class proved successful with pass rates above and beyond other courses. Earlier this year, Parameter Security's Hacker University was selected among 22 nationwide and 1 of 8 in the USA to participate in the global launch of CEH v7.
